Welcome back to our VIP video series "Off the Beaten Path," featuring my friend Christian Toto of Hollywood in Toto! Christian and I start off our week by discussing stories and ideas that may fly under our radar, in culture, politics, sports, and more. Plus, Christian previews his latest podcast at HiT.

First, the big news: Christian will become our newest contributor to our VIP content library! Starting tomorrow, Christian will write about his perspective on politics, culture, entertainment, and more for our members exclusively. We discuss the big three forbidden topics, however, so stay tuned to see just how long Christian manages to hang onto this gig.

Speaking of forbidden, Roseanna Arquette and Quentin Tarantino have begun a feud over the director's constant use of the N-word. Christian and Ed debate whether she has a point, and whether Tarantino is justified in his response. Did Arquette just engage in cheap virtue signaling for publicity or raise an important debate? We also talk about The Bride! and its rough start at the box office, but also at its surprising audience rating at Rotten Tomatoes. Christian saw it and covers its numerous flaws, while I wonder why filmmakers didn't learn from the under-appreciated Promising Young Woman. We also talk about the surprising backpedal from woke at Pixar, Stephen Colbert's political future, and why we both want to see Scary Movie 6

Watch it all and join us in the comments!
