Paramount cancelled Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and the only surprise for Christian and Ed is that they apparently will still run the already-filmed second season. What really killed this series – wokeness or infantilization? And do sunk costs explain the choice to run Season 2 of one of the worst-received shows in the streaming era? Perhaps the second season will improve matters; we discuss the slow starts of Cheers and Frasier as models. Neither of us really expect that to happen, and more importantly, neither of us will bother to watch and find out.
We also discuss the legal issue facing Reacher star Alan Ritchson, and why reserving judgment is a good choice. We also remember Chuck Norris, and we promise not to forget how the media covered his death, and that of Scott Adams and Charlie Kirk, either.
