The more we learn about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the smaller he becomes.
That's not a height sleight, just an acknowledgement that his run as the media's go-to COVID-19 guru aged badly.
This week, he shrunk to microscopic levels.
Sen. Rand Paul released a trove of new information, glibly dubbed Dr. Fauci's diary, that reveals even more concerning facts about the infectious disease expert's actions during the pandemic years.
The sillier aspects shouldn't come as little surprise. Dr. Fauci had an oversized ego, and he burned plenty of calories feeding it. He also collaborated with multiple journalists, including Jake "Biden Cover-Up" Tapper, in ways that went far beyond the traditional source/reporter bond. Expect zero reaction from Team CNN.
The most egregious revelations? Dr. Fauci's reign of hypocrisy was even worse than we feared.
Naturally, the Legacy Media is ignoring the scandal. All the news that's fit to print ... assuming it can be weaponized against the Right. Otherwise, it's head-in-the-sand time.
Late-night TV will likely do the same. These same hosts did their best to elevate Dr. Fauci, praise him endlessly and push his talking points at great length.
Truth to power? Try Propaganda 101.
It's important to remember how they behaved during a critical point in American history. In short, they failed us miserably.
Let's start with the ex-"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert. He teamed with Dr. Fauci to push his vaccine agenda. In one instance, Dr. Fauci used his CBS time to get the latest booster personally. He was in the age bracket where a vaccine might be beneficial, but that wasn't the message being sent.
Everyone, even toddlers, needed The Shot.
The other, more egregious example? It's arguably the most cringe-worthy "Late Show" moment in its 10-year run. We give you ... The Vax Scene.
We apologize for having to show that again, but it's important to remember what we endured.
"Saturday Night Live" hired one of Hollywood's most handsome actors, Brad Pitt, to play Dr. Fauci without a hint of satire tied to his ego, misdirection or other traits. Just adoration, late-night style, with the usual Trumpian attacks.
Even Jimmy Fallon, he of the low-rated "Tonight Show" tried to push the mask insanity far past its expiration date. This bit rivals "The Vax Scene" on the Cringe-O-Meter.
Put on your mask when you’re inside a facility. It could be a robot from a “Star Wars” trilogy.
That was in 2023, mind you. And, of course, Fallon sang it sans mask. Anyone shocked?
Late-night clowns could have held Dr. Fauci's tiny feet to the fire for his hypocrisy, much of which was known at the time. Adam Carolla knew Dr. Fauci was "compromised" way back in 2020. Why didn't Colbert and Fallon know the same?
Now, said hypocrisy is far, far worse. And these late-night clowns won't go near it. At least "The Late Show" isn't around anymore to insult our intelligence anew.
