Pete Hegseth and Operation Epic Fury are currently the biggest targets of the left-wing propaganda machine.
We have seen claims that the entire US war machine in the Gulf has been decimated, or that there is no strategy in the war. Senators have called it a "fiasco" and have gone so far as to denigrate our military as they are currently putting themselves in harm's way.
Pete Hegseth is spending millions of your tax dollars on lobster, ribeye, and a grand piano.

Meanwhile, he’s sending Americans off to war and folks are struggling to get by. https://t.co/wApmTlF4o7
But the latest "scandal" they are trying to brew up is a doozy, if not the most significant lie of the past few days, months, or years.
Trump's America: no money for school lunches or health care, but plenty of money for crab legs and ribeye for Hegseth https://t.co/abfCH9SScC

They are now complaining that Pete Hegseth and the War Department are spending too much money feeding our troops in a war zone.
Leftists losing their minds over Pete Hegseth's Pentagon dropping millions on steak, lobster, and fruit baskets for troops.

Meanwhile, Biden blew billions housing illegals in 4-star hotels and feeding them on our dime.
I'll take surf & turf for the warriors guarding my freedom… pic.twitter.com/W8X0aS80pa
"Surf and Turf" nights are a long-standing tradition, meant to boost morale for troops living under threat and often in rather poor conditions. It is so common that, prior to the opening of hostilities in Operation Epic Freedom, some OSINT accounts were reporting that a Surf and Turf night in the Middle East was a good predictor that hostilities were about to commence.

As someone who was once responsible for all U.S. military logistics in the southern half of Afghanistan, I can assure everyone that the U.S. military has always tried to give the troops an occasional nice meal, even when serving on a remote, medieval style outpost and getting attacked every night from across the Pakistani border.
It is a morale booster, without any exaggeration.
This is not even remotely a new thing. We've always done this in the modern era. Anybody trying to make an issue of this is a subtard moron who not only does not know how things work, but has also established themselves as haters of our fighting men and women.
But, consistent with the current line that Epic Fury is a big waste of money because Iran had not yet decimated the Middle East before we started destroying its military, there is a media frenzy on the left that Hegseth blew a few million dollars on steaks and crab legs for the troops.
Hegseth's DOD needed to spend the money to keep their current funding moving forward ... and he signed off on $6.9 million for lobster tail, $2 million for Alaskan king crab, $15.1 million for ribeye steak, $1 million for salmon, almost $140K for donuts, and $124K for ice cream… pic.twitter.com/RamwZ1tTYl

I guess that the logic is that, since the Japanese military had its troops survive on a diet of rice during World War II, our troops should be able to do the same.
Or, perhaps, they should get a ration of kibble before taking flight to destroy Iranian missiles aimed at our allies.
The government decided to drop $15.1 million for ribeye steak (again, just in September), $124,000 for ice cream machines, and $139,224 on 272 orders of doughnuts. https://t.co/EiEQBxg97S

To call this a low blow is being way too kind. It is disgusting, unpatriotic (SURPRISE!), and deceptive, because this sort of thing is not at all new.

Before D-Day, the troops were treated to all-you-can-eat buffets of steaks, pork chops, and all the fixings because going into battle is a big deal.
Weird, I know.
A reminder that while Gavin Newsom is currently claiming it’s waste to give troops steaks, lobster, crab, and ice cream, he previously claimed that Trump was abusing soldiers because some National Guardsmen slept in a parking garage.

It’s all theater.
The propaganda is relentless. Just as it is about everything these days. Zohran Mamdani was the target of a terrorist attack! Operation Epic Fury is a fiasco! Iran has a plan to keep hitting its Gulf neighbors for a decade or more! Netanyahu is going to drop a nuke! World War III is here!
Pete Hegseth spent $2,000,000 on crab legs. https://t.co/ztut4iUA9p

It's unrelenting. And, with a large fraction of the population, it actually works. I know a lot of people who sincerely believe that Trump was proven to be a pedo in the Epstein files, because they hear that so often. As Democrats have been dropping like flies in the aftermath of their release, they believe it is Trump who was exposed.
While they were busy cutting SNAP and health care for working families, Pete Hegseth spent $2 million on King Crab, nearly $7 million on Lobster Tails, and nearly $100,000 on a Grand Piano in the month of September.

This is where your taxpayer dollars are going.
Isn’t this… https://t.co/y1JWCKEMOF
No doubt there are now people who believe that Pete Hegseth and his buddies ate up $2 million of crab legs this year, because the media and Democrat politicians tell them so.
But SNAP recipients are the REAL problem. https://t.co/xfsMSOuOQE
