'Centrist' Democrats Exist to Sanewash Leftist Insanity

None of them would fit easily into the Republican Party, either out of class loyalty, repulsion toward Donald Trump, or genuine policy disagreements, so they need a way to stick with the Democrats despite the fact that the Democrats are objectively awful. 

Obama's former speechwriter, Jon Favreau, defends Hasan Piker who said "America deserved 9/11" and Republicans are "terrorists."

That's where the sanewashers come in. They exist to soothe the consciences of the reluctant Democrat, to assure them that Adam Schiff is a truth-teller, that AOC and the Squad are outliers, and that all those "decarceration" activists really don't mean to dismantle the criminal justice system.

Democrats want "abundance," really! All that talk about degrowth, 15-minute cities, owning nothing and be happy, communism, net-zero. It's just talk. 

Democrats will cancel you for using the wrong pronouns (in their eyes), rewrite the AP stylebook to turn terrorists into freedom fighters and male rapists into women, but they aren't trying to spread the gospel of woke?

DEI is a core principle, being forced everywhere, and Biden's Department of Education turned Title IX into a vehicle for forcing men into women's locker rooms, but really, they aren't trying to wokeify the world?

Piker loves Hamas and Hezbollah, just like you and me. 

This is the same attitude that has Graham Plattner, an admitted communist who trains radical trans activists and Antifa on how to ambush normies with assault rifles.

Platner leads the race for Senator in Maine, at least partly because the guy has been sanewashed. He has the stamp of approval from the establishment, and that is enough for centrist Democrats who can't bear to vote Republican.

"Centrist" Democrats exist, but "centrist" commentators and politicians exist mainly to sanewash the radicals so they can get into power.

Don’t want Iran to lose if it means Trump wins. @TomFriedman of @NYTimes really wants “to see Iran defeated militarily because this regime is a terrible regime for its people and the region,” but on CNN’s @Smerconish he fretted “the problem is I really don’t want to see Bibi Netanyahu or Donald Trump politically strengthened by this war because they are too awful human beings. They are both engaged in anti-democratic projects in their own countries. They’re both alleged crooks. They are terrible, terrible people doing terrible things to America’s standing in the world and Israel’s standing in the world.”

Democrats, and indeed all intellectuals and midwits, are addicted to soothing words and are, apparently, indifferent to real-world consequences. No sane person could actually take gender ideology seriously, but put a stamp of approval on it from "experts" and mouth some words about compassion, and suddenly the people who oppose sterilizing and mutilating children are monsters. 

A few years ago, most Democrats understood that Hamas was the bad guys, but once enough establishment figures defended the terrorist group, suddenly Israel became the bad guy. The same is happening with Iran, a country that just murdered tens of thousands of its own citizens for protesting. 

We often focus on the words of the crazies because they are so capitvating, in the way a car crash is, but it's at least as important to focus on the "centrists" and Pravda figures who do their best to justify the craziness. 

The people who turn the 2020 riots into a public health necessity, which were "mostly peaceful," who turn Adam Schiff into a saint, and who call moving trans propaganda out of schools "censorship." 

There will always be crazies; the most dangerous people are the sanewashers who enable their gaining power.
