As I wrote yesterday, everybody knew about Eric Swalwell.
Or, should I say, everybody in Washington and in California Democratic Party circles knew, including reporters.
not reporting a sexual predator for thirteen years and like seven years after he arguably raped a staffer…is not holding anyone accountable.

it’s a political hit job being astroturfed as muh accountability https://t.co/QyJPsmvkDg
That's not an accusation made by conservatives who are just throwing mud at Democrats and the media. Almost everybody admits that they knew and used their knowledge as evidence that Swalwell needed to go.
Tara Reade had vastly more evidence (by which I mean any at all) on Biden than Dems did on Kavanaugh.

Our press declared everyone must believe all women without due process... and then the second that became inconvient, they rejected their own rules and refuse to play by them. https://t.co/Ygp6wMJSdV pic.twitter.com/rieL6jTn5O
Reporters say things like, "I knew, but it wasn't my beat." Former staffers, including the woman accusing Swalwell of raping her, explain that they couldn't talk because it might hurt their careers.
Because most political journalists are basically comms staffers for the Democratic Party.

The only remarkable part of this situation is how readily they're admitting it. https://t.co/WDxvwa6Gv5
But suddenly, when they get the green light, it all gets dumped out into the public. Reporters who defended Swalwell a few years ago are now all over this story, and Brian Stelter actually went on CNN to declare that this episode has been a triumph of tough-minded investigative reporting.
Remember when Swalwell was accused of engaging in acts sexual congress with a Chinese spy & the corporate media reflexively ran cover? https://t.co/WIYtZdXjQP

Last time Swalwell was accused of sexual improprieties, the corporate media raced to his defense pic.twitter.com/k447S7O2t6

This is a masterclass of how the Democratic Party machine works. They lie, they cover up, they accumulate all the oppo research that they can, and when it is useful, they do a data dump and congratulate themselves for being truth-tellers.
Here is 'investigative reporting' advocate Brian Stelter telling Americans not to believe what they saw with videos showing Biden’s decline, calling them “Cheap Fakes.” pic.twitter.com/dNdS7ZCXfM https://t.co/S8D0KiI1yD

The propaganda machine swings into motion, and an entirely new Narrative™ is created, and the consciences of the "moderate" Democrats who so desperately want to believe themselves the good guys are soothed.
Yeah, Democrats always hold their own accountable. Totally. https://t.co/cu7GpRxog1 pic.twitter.com/pjSHjeCzgL

This is the "sharp as a tack" crowd, using the same tactics they used to cover up Joe Biden's senility. For years, they claimed that Joe Biden was "better than ever," and accused Republicans of spreading cheap fakes. Then, when it was convenient to get Joe Biden out, they piled on.
And then, when Biden got out, he was George Washington.
Hey Hakeem,

Tell us more about what an amazing man Eric Swalwell is. https://t.co/p0fpj4mmHE
Democrats used Swalwell as one of their "designated liars," and unsurprisingly was a prime pusher of the Kavanaugh smears. As he was held up as a leading light of morality and women's rights, he was simultaneously known to be a serial sexual harasser who abused his own staff.
— Sam (@Sam93590343) April 13, 2026
You would think that media figures who knew all this would have pointed out Swalwell's own behavior as he slandered Brett Kavanaugh, but...of course not.
That’s weird that the Alameda County Democratic Party knew knew about Swalwell’s “behavior towards women” “at all levels”, because less than a month ago one of their regional chartered groups endorsed him for governor.

Did they just not care? https://t.co/Fve7qyz4Om pic.twitter.com/BDoXkEnZQ4
Their job, after all, is to be stenographers for Democrats. The green light came, they did their duty to destroy Swalwell, and now are preening. "We did good!"
Well, in the eyes of their masters, they did. This episode lays the whole scam out bare, and it will make zero difference to Democratic Party voters, who will applaud the reporters for doing their job: promoting Democratic Party governance.
Democrats and media REALLY want you to know that they knew the entire time that Eric Swalwell was a deviant sex pest and didn't say a damn word about it pic.twitter.com/OsSU3UV0cY
— Dylan Housman (@Dylan_Housman) April 12, 2026
You don't have to imagine what would happen if the accused were Republican. We know exactly, because we have seen it. For me, the most startling example of this is the setup of Larry Craig, who was arrested for taking a dump with his legs spread too wide. I have no idea whether Craig was trolling for sex or not, but I do know that, based on his "wide stance," he was driven out of politics.
That blew me away. His way of sitting on a toilet was proof beyond doubt of sexual depravity, while actual sexual depravity by a Democrat was covered up.

Swalwell: Democrats "stand too much on virtue." pic.twitter.com/Rdzuo347AO
Why Democratic Party voters, many of whom, I still insist, try to be decent people, tolerate being lied to and keep going back to the liars for more, like dogs to their own vomit, is beyond me. COVID, "sharp as a tack," Hunter Biden, Joe Biden showering with his daughter...none of this makes an impression because they choose to be blind to the obvious.
You have GOT to be joking with this. You're joking...
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) April 13, 2026
I could not report on the very explosive exclusive story of a Democratic congressman having an affair with a Chinese spy as well as several other hill staffers because "ERRM sorry just not my assignment."
Do you genuinely…
Everybody knew, nobody said anything about it.
And Democratic Party voters are fine with that. They were told to love Swalwell, so they did. Now they are being told to hate Swalwell, so they do.
And they call Trump supporters cultists.
