As Beege wrote earlier today, Keir Starmer is headed for an epic beatdown in the council elections being held.
He shouldn't feel bad, though. Rishi Sunak led his party into purgatory for following policies only mildly better than Starmer's, and the British political establishment needs a thorough housecleaning, and the two major parties getting absolutely hammered in elections seems to me to be a good start.

The big winners out of these elections appear to be Reform and the Greens, at the expense of the two establishment parties.
Sunak led the Tories to a nationwide defeat in parliamentary elections, but Starmer has the advantage of not having to face the voters until 2029, so Labour has a bit of time to recover, if not Starmer himself. As Prime Minister, his position doesn't just depend on the voters, but also on the support of his party, who no doubt have their knives out for him.
A spokesman for Miliband would not comment on âprivate conversationsâ

It's unlikely the King, who does theoretically have the power to call elections, would do so. The last time a British monarch initiated the dissolution of Parliament on his own was in 1834. So Labour is safe in its majority.
Several MPs are lining up to take on Starmer as soon as the council election results roll in, but none of them is my particular favorite for the position.
Angela Rayner, Andy Burnham and Wes Streeting are battling to replace the PM, but all come with baggage. Rayner still hasn't been cleared over wriggling out of that ÂŁ40,000 stamp duty bill. Burnham isnât even in Westminster, while Streeting was politically close to that toxic wretch Peter Mandelson. To use a technical term, itâs shaping up to be a full-scale bunfight. And that will have terrifying consequences far beyond Labour HQ.
Each of them is awful in their own way, but nobody in Labour's leadership is as comprehensively awful as my favorite: El Miliband.

Miliband's closest analog in American politics is, perhaps, John Kerry. Self-assured to the point of total obliviousness, wrong on every major issue, and bloody-minded in his determination to crash the world economy, starting with his own country.

Miliband is perfect, if the goal is the complete destruction of the Labour/transnationalist clique.
What makes Miliband particularly odiousâactually, everything about Miliband is odious, come to think about, so let's say "harmful"âis his devotedness to Net Zero policies in Britain.

Britain, you see, may not emit much carbon dioxide todayâit is a rounding error in global termsâbut it has a historical debt to the world to destroy the past 250 years of industrialization that made it wealthy before socialism hobbled the country.

There is no aspect of one's life that Miliband does not want to destroy, and he is currently in a position to do so as Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero. But just imagine! He could be Prime Minister!

đ¨Coming soon to Britain, Pubs with warm beer so Keir Starmer can meet his Net Zero energy goals !!!
British Keir Starmer and Edward Miliband (Energy Net Zero Secretary) tell British pubs to reduce energy bills and turn off their fridges overnight.
Experts say it won't save any energy because the refrigerators will have to work twice as hard in the morning to chill down, which is actually harder on the equipment for no actual energy savings.
That would ensure that Labour would be out of power come the next election. Rather than taking a drubbing, they would make the Tories' drubbing look mild by comparison.

Despite their massive victory in the 2024 general election, in terms of actual votes, Labour only managed 34% of the vote. That translated into a landslide in terms of seats won, but it also means that many of those seats are extremely vulnerable.
