Sorry, I can't let this go. The "fact checks" and dismissals of Trump's speech being pushed out by the Pravda Media and Democrats are so off point, absurd, and flat-out deceptive that it is driving me nuts.
I know I should be numb to this by now, but like a nagging toothache (during COVID I had THREE! root canals, and had to wait for one to two and a half weeks due to COVID restrictions, which I can tell you was HELL!), the gaslighting is really getting to me.
Partly because it is evil, and partly because I know it works to comfort the people who want to stay in their bubble despite all the evidence that the air inside is poisoned.
In my earlier piece, I reminded you of the steady stream of "election denials" that Democrats put out for YEARS before the 2020 election, and their immediate about-face on questioning election procedures and results as soon as they won an election where almost every normal rule was broken due to "COVID."
In fact, some Democrats are now darkly warning that Trump will try to steal the election, so spare me outrage about election "denialism."

Now, as the X community has been activated to dig up old clips of Democrats and the media making contradictory arguments about election interference, new clips still keep rolling in.
In 2024, there was little dispute that China was actively interfering with our election, both through influence operations and by hacking election records, which could be useful for targeting voters with misinformation tailored specifically to them. It was no secret at all that China was hacking election records and was even reported at the time, and also widely reported that President Biden confronted Xi on the matter.
Even after that, it continued.
Right now CNN has person after person claiming that China doesn't interfere in our elections.

But now that Trump has brought it up as part of his larger argument that our elections are not secure—yet another undeniable fact that is only controversial because President Trump points it out—it is suddenly just a wild conspiracy theory.
It went from Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President Biden complaining about it to "It never happened" in the blink of an eye, because Trump.
Networks that refused to carry Trump's actual speech immediately broke into programming after it was done, specifically to debunk something its viewers had not seen, often distorting what the president said in the process. In some cases, they "debunked" claims that were not even made, or didn't look at the evidence before declaring it false.
Fake News @jonkarl immediately went on TV to accuse President Trump of lying — even though he admitted he still has "a lot more to look through."

Even a Never Trump former radio host who thinks that Trump is a threat to democracy (he basically gave up his radio career because he genuinely believes he is a threat to democracy and thinks that there was no problem with the 2020 election) found the whole spectacle of Pravda propaganda too much:

Plus, how exactly would we know if there was widespread abuse of obvious mail-in balloting vulnerabilities? It would be so easy to get away (on a case by case basis) with it there’s literally no way to prove widespread abuse. That is a large part of the point/problem!
One of the most amusing clips a wag on X dug up was ABC reporting on how great mail-in voting is, and they actually filmed somebody stuffing a ballot box.

It's absurd the lengths to which they will go to maintain The Narrative™. They literally have documents from the CIA, NSA, and FBI in front of them discussing withholding evidence from the President of the United States in 2020 and "massaging" intelligence to do so, and they deny that this is problematic.
Because Trump. It's the Trump exception in their minds. Just as they celebrated government officials who openly admitted that they worked behind the scenes to thwart the president's legitimate powers. Remember #theresistance?

Apparently the issue of politicizing intelligence was common knowledge in the Intelligence "Community," and some people openly objected. We have the receipts, and Pravda folks are doing everything they can to pull out shiny objects to distract, declare that Trump is lying, and "pre-bunk" everything.
Some things are so obvious that it takes willful blindness or intent to deceive to deny them. When it takes five weeks for a state to "count" ballots, or when states fight like mad to keep dead people on the voting rolls, you know something is off. It doesn't take doing a deep dive to prove it; instead, the people who try to justify it should be treated with extreme skepticism, and they should have to PROVE that they aren't trying to cheat.
When it looks like cheating, smells like cheating, and talks like cheating, it probably is. So prove it isn't. We don't do that with welfare/Medicaid/SNAP benefits, and look at what happens when we investigate. Most of it is fraud, and the people charged with preventing it instead facilitated it.
Trump is playing the role of Nick Shirley here. The left may hate him, the media may try to debunk him, but eventually the proof will out.
Unfortunately, the proof comes well after the billions of dollars are stolen, or the ballot boxes have been stuffed.
