Earlier today, I wrote about the double standards that run rampant regarding how crimes and acts of terrorism are reported on.
Whenever some event is even possibly connected to a white perpetrator, the race is pushed to the front of the reporting; whenever the race or religion of the perpetrator is part of a favored group, it is either hidden or reported in such a way as to imply that the perpetrator was white. "Manchester man." "Maryland man." "London man."
Sometimes the police outright lie about who committed the crime, only belatedly releasing more details or downplaying the facts until activists root out who actually committed the crime.
Think of the infamous stabbings that killed young girls at a Taylor Swift dance party in Manchester a couple of years ago. The perp, Axel Rudakubana, was an Islamist terrorist with al Qaeda literature, but the authorities hid his identity and motivations for months.
Lucy Connolly was famously jailed for over a year because she sent an angry tweet about the murders. In other words, the police went to great lengths in both cases to squash what they call "Islamophobia."
The worst cover-up of Muslim crimes was the decades-long tolerance of Muslim rape gangs. The authorities were so terrified of Muslims getting tarred with a broad brush that they tolerated the rapes of young British girls by the thousand.
The basic problem, other than the willingness to lie and look the other way, is the incompatibility of the elites' ideological commitments with...reality. They want everybody to believe things that aren't true, and the only way to accomplish that is to lie and/or hide the facts.

David Lammy's refusal to release crime stats by race and national origin is yet another lame attempt to cover up what everybody knows, partly to fool people, but mostly to prevent people from referring to actual facts that can't be disputed. After all, everybody, including people who deny it, knows that Muslim migrants commit sex crimes at rates that make your eyes water, and that a huge proportion of violent crimes are similarly committed by legal and illegal migrants.
But if you buy the facts deep enough, you can plausibly deny reality and accuse your opponents of being racist and Islamophobic—what proof do they have?
It reminds me of San Francisco's BART changing its policies about releasing videos of crimes committed on its trains because they fed into racist assumptions. Of course, they did so because they confirmed those assumptions, and we couldn't have THAT!
Well, actually, yes, we can, because we can make policies that work only when we know the facts. A lot of police "reform" proposals are based on the falsehood that the police shoot a lot of innocent, unarmed black boys and men. That "fact" is entirely false, but it has fundamentally altered policing and led to increased hostility between police and the black community. It has secondary effects, such as changing discipline policies in schools, and, not least, has led to growing cynicism among non-black citizens that there is a double standard.
The UK is further along in going down this path, but we are not far behind.
We are constantly lectured about "Islamophobia," despite there being little evidence that Muslims are victims of hate crimes at any significant level. Compared to Jews, they barely even rate mentioning.
Race swapping victims and offenders is now common in propaganda, and it is almost comical.
In Germany 🇩🇪, there are daily reports of sexual assaults by migrants in public pools, often targeting young girls. In response, German authorities launched a campaign against this.

Then there was the massive propaganda campaign for the show Adolescence, which took on the nonexistent epidemic of white British boys being violent toward young women. The stats show the problem is not white boys, but migrants, but the establishment wanted everybody to focus their eyes elsewhere.
You can't fix problems when you deny they exist, and demonizing white citizens for crimes committed by others makes dealing with them impossible.
Bush did this after 9/11, with his refrain that "Islam is the religion of peace." In fact, Islamic migration to the US shot UP after 9/11, despite the evidence that Muslims don't integrate well and many are hostile to our country—all because we had to tamp down "Islamophobia."
This is civilizational suicide.
