Coaches have made their feelings known. Players have declared that they would love to share the court with transgender players.
Even owners of teams have screamed at young girls to tell them that they are evil bigots if they like Sophie Cunningham.
It's almost unanimous, you see. Trans lives matter. Bring those female penises into the locker room!

Well, serious candidates are happy to put their names forward, including professionals in the sport. These aren't your average soy-boys who couldn't toss a ball better than the average WNBA player; they probably could take on and beat Caitlin Clark herself, or at least put up some stiff competition for her.
Unlike most WNBA players, who seem better at throwing bricks and airballs than hitting the basket.

Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom has declared himself a WNBA prospect, says he meets every requirement necessary.
The 6 ft 10 in, 250 pound player says he reviewed the WNBA eligibility criteria and has decided to declare himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft.
The announcement comes after some WNBA coaches and players have announced their support of men in women’s sports.
“My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion,” he said.
“Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.”

At the very least, some coach or another should give him a once-over. I bet he could score a bucket or two, rebound pretty well, and I have a sneaking suspicion he might be able to block pretty well too.

Now some of those female coaches in the WNBA do have a problem with MEN injecting themselves in women's sports (not that way, dirty-mind), but both Enes and Julie Tétart assure us that they are women, and unless there is some criterion other than what people say they are, they most certainly qualify.
Maybe we can get a ruling from Ketanji Brown-Jackson. See whether she can tell what a woman is in this case.

I've also heard rumors that Coach K is getting a little bored and is experimenting with his own gender identity. Perhaps the Minnesota Lynx is looking to up its coaching game. I bet you could put Mike Krzyzewski's coaching record up against any WNBA coach's and make the case that these teams should extend a contract offer to him.
The League has a real opportunity to make a statement here, and I would go one step further: the WNBA Players Association should demand that all its members get tryouts with the National Basketball Association. For too long, women have been excluded from the big game and have been relegated to playing second fiddle.
Or, better yet, do what professional football did and have two competing conferences. Like the NFC and the AFC, you can have the NBA and the WNBA play against each other and have a SUPERBOWL of basketball, complete with halftime shows and everything!
I see great things ahead.
