At least it seems we have entered that topsy-turvy world, and Pravda wants you to ignore it. If it weren't for the tabloids and X, you likely would never have heard what a day in the life of small-boat migration is really like, or how the "authorities" are dealing with the crisis.
I saw this X post and thought, "surely this must be an exaggeration," and indeed the details are a bit blurry, but also basically correct. All the events described apparently did happen on the same day, although it is not firmly established it all happened on one exact boat, and we can't confirm the exact age of the rape victim.

The only English-language reporting originates in the tabloids, although there are vaguer reports about generic "violence" occurring as migrants cross the ocean. Grok wants me to be more precise about the details, which frankly don't seem that important to me in the grand scheme of things. What matters is that gang rapists who bite girls go free, and babies get tossed off boats for crying, not exactly which boats it happened on. The people who love open borders, mass migration, and migrant caravans to the U.S. border always seem to ignore the reality on the ground, both in Western countries forced to take in all comers and the atrocities that take place along the way. The Biden open-borders crowd ignored the mass violence and rapes that occurred in the caravans, the profits of the cartels, and the crime and human trafficking problems in our own countries.
They focused on their feelings for their imagined poor, victimized men who only wanted a better life and to take care of us all in our dotage.

I actually am a fan of certain kinds of immigration, and believe that good immigration policies really can be wildly beneficial. Immigrants are statistically more likely to start their own businesses, for instance, and many of our best entrepreneurs are immigrants. The U.S. has, historically, done an outstanding job of attracting the best and the brightest from abroad, and has benefited mightily from doing so.
But none of that was due to mass, illegal migration, and experience shows that some kinds of immigrants provide net benefits, while others are a net negative contribution to society. It's insane to lump them all together.
For that matter, if you look at the Left's immigration policies, they seem to seek out the worst, not the best. And when we try to deport kidnappers, rapists, and terrorists, they scream the loudest. I didn't see the Left erupt when Trump deported Milo. I did see riots in my city when Trump tried to arrest rapists and pedos. Tim Walz and Keith Ellison pardoned a paedo in an effort to help him avoid deportation.
Somehow, the underlying social dysfunction of this whole system got summed up in this one small boat, or at least on one day, when barbarian mass migrants all decided to set out to invade the Canary Islands. It was a microcosm of the larger reality in which the West, combining suicidal empathy and legalism, embraced pure evil and invited it inside to destroy all that is right and good.
A young girl raped and left with bite marks all over her body, and an infant tossed off a boat for crying too much. The perpetrators walk free and will be fed and housed in the name of compassion.
In a saner time, the authorities wouldn't have even let the boat near shore, and had it somehow arrived, they would have taken the men back out into international waters and executed them as pirates.
In our all-too-civilized time, we look the other way, and doom civilization as a consequence.
