National Police Week

363 names were added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this year. 363 dads, mothers, brothers, sisters, beloved uncles and aunts...neighbors who won't there when you need them anymore.

No beers over the fence or waves at the mailbox.

Who can't be there in the dark when the kids are frightened anymore.

Or when a heartbroken parent or spouse just wants to hear their precious voices that one more time.

Just one more time.

... who have died in the line of duty, are added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this year.  363 Heroes.  Please remember them and the sacrifice they paid in the name of public safety and service.

Please remember them. The good guys, and not just with the guns.

The guys who talk you off the ledge.

Or take it to the edge to save you and yours, no matter the risk to themselves.

...He went in, got them out, and made sure everyone survived.

"I tried to thank him… That's my whole world. That's my daughter." — Rachel Blaylock

Selfless.

Determined.

Compassionate.

Patient.

Beloved and mourned.

So many good cops are willing to do whatever the situation calls for, even if it means they don't come home.

They want you to.

The Trump White House had a Back the Blue Xweet out to celebrate the week, and J.D. was doing events with officers, who seemed pretty tickled to be with him.

To honor National Police Week, 173 Democrats voted against the resolution supporting law enforcement.

Last night was the Congressional candlelight vigil. It's held on the steps of the Capitol building.

Not a single Democratic congressperson - not one - joined their House colleagues' vigil on the steps of Congress later that evening.

Not one.

"When I was standing at that vigil last night and you saw half a dozen, several dozen members of Congress, it struck me I couldn't count a single Democrat that was there... It's a shame that you didn't have bipartisan support for something so important, like supporting our law enforcement officers." BRIAN

@kilmead: "REALLY???"

@ainsleyearhardt: "Wow."

The craven, despicable cowards suck.

That's all there is to it.

That's all there is to them.

Thank you, Blue.

Stay safe, and God bless you.
