More Iranian militia types are in the news, sad to say.

Even worse, they're not doing their thing on their home turf - they're in the export business.

Why anyone wants to coddle the Iranian regime, thinking it's going to insulate them from these maniacs, I have no idea.

Suicidal empaths never learn, even as they get picked off standing next to each other.

A commander of an Iranian-backed militia has been charged with plotting to attack Jewish sites in the United States, including a synagogue in New York, and carrying out attacks in Europe as part of a broader campaign of retaliation by Iran since the war began in February.

A criminal complaint unsealed on Friday accused the commander, Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, of planning at least 20 attacks in Europe and Canada since late February. Mr. al-Saadi was detained in Turkey sometime recently and handed over to U.S. authorities, Mr. al-Saadi’s lawyer said in federal court in Manhattan on Friday.

Mr. al-Saadi, according to the complaint, is a commander of Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi militia that is a proxy for Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp and has helped Tehran project power across the region, including through attacks on American forces and diplomatic targets.

Did that 'Kataib Hezbollah' ring a bell with you?

If it did and you couldn't think why, I remembered (amazing, I know.).

That's the same group that was responsible for the recent, horrific, broad daylight kidnapping of American freelance journalist Shelly Kittleson from her car on a busy street in Baghdad.

Iran-backed Iraqi terrorists Kata’ib Hezbollah are reportedly seeking negotiations with the Iraqi government for the release of kidnapped American journalist Shelly Kittleson.

The group is demanding the release of detained terrorists in exchange for her freedom.

Kidnapping and hostage taking wouldn’t be a *thing* if…

Maybe if..I don’t know…

Stronger penalties were in place for terrorists in the first place? JS.

Only by the grace of God, the assistance of the Iraqi government, and I'm assuming some innate concern about the consequences from the United States was she released.

These are vile, ruthless, soulless operators, and when he was still in one piece, they were Suleimani's boys.

...From its inception, the militia has been closely tied to Iran’s Quds Force — the overseas arm of the powerful Revolutionary Guards. It made evicting U.S. forces from Iraq a primary focus. Kataib Hezbollah’s repeated attacks on U.S. Army posts in Iraq and Syria over the years contributed to Washington’s decision in 2009 to designate it as a foreign terrorist organization.

The complaint says that Mr. al-Saadi planned to kill Americans and Jews in Los Angeles and that he had started planning an attack on a synagogue in New York City. As a leader of Kataib Hezbollah, Mr. al-Saadi worked with Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani, the head of Iran’s security machinery, according to the complaint. The U.S. military killed Mr. Suleimani in a strike in 2020.

There have already been attacks in Europe, and two in Canada. Al-Saadi was reportedly soliciting all the help he could get - and stirring up all the anger to encourage it - to take his terror road show to the States.

...“Saadi is a commander for Kataib Hizballah, a US designated FTO [Foreign Terrorist Organization] operating in Iraq that is closely aligned with the IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp],” the Justice Department said in a statement.

The militiaman was also allegedly close to Iranian top commander Qasem Soleimani and former deputy chief of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis who were killed in a US airstrike directly ordered by President Donald Trump during his first term.

“On or about July 2, 2020, for example, al-Saadi published on one of his social media accounts the following image of the US capitol in rubbles projected against the faces of Soleimani and al-Muhandis, with the text ‘our revenge for the martyred leaders is ongoing.  No negotiations with the occupier,’” the Justice Department said.

He is also accused of urging others to attack US and Israeli interests in recent months, “including by killing Americans and Jews.”

“As alleged, over the last several months, al-Saadi and his associates have planned, coordinated, and claimed responsibility for at least 18 terrorist attacks in Europe (the “European Terrorist Attacks”), as well as two additional attacks in Canada,” the statement added.

Kash Patel had more.

...the Trump administration’s historic work to bring terrorists to justice.

Al-Saadi and his associates allegedly planned, coordinated, and claimed responsibility for at least 20 terrorist attacks across Europe and in Canada – and were believed to be targeting the United States for upcoming attacks including Jewish institutions in New York, California, and Arizona.

This was a righteous mission executed brilliantly by our agents, investigators, CIRG tactical units and interagency partners who delivered yet again.

We are greatly appreciative of the work of our allies around the world - especially to Ambassador Tom Barrack, who led this joint sequenced operation and has been instrumental in bringing this successful mission home to the United States.

Good on the Turks turning him over.

The news was greeted in New York by Jewish residents with relief and all the right words by the mayor, who still hasn't said a word about the near riots last weekend.

Naturally, people are somewhat skeptical that the sentiments he expresses are sincere.

Hard to find anyone who is thanking the mayor.

The state's worthless, feckless governor is equally as reviled for her two-faced Xweet.

According to Patel, this is the agency's second big counter terrorism action today.

...Turkish authorities arrested al-Saadi in Turkiye, likely at the request of US authorities, and transferred him to American custody, according to his attorney, Andrew J. Dalack. Dalack said his client had no opportunity to contest the legality of his detention or transfer to the United States.

The arrest was the FBI's second counter-terrorism operation within 12 hours. FBI Director Kash Patel credited Ambassador Tom Barrack with leading what he described as a "joint sequenced operation" involving FBI agents, CIRG tactical units, and international partners.

I'm assuming he's referring to this nasty fellow. Golly Nell - good work.

...@jsolomonReports The FBI has successfully extradited a top-tier official known as "Tuki" from Colombia to face charges, cleaning up border security. @AmandaHead

Thank God this administration is proactively going after these guys, unlike the Europeans, where hunting their own citizens seems to be the priority.

Well done.
