And here you thought a couple of Bible verses on caps were the end-all and be-all of the resistance.
Nope.
The revolution is here. Literally.
The York Revolution minor league team in York, Pennsylvania, is a member of the American League-affiliated Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which is itself one of the independent 'partnership' leagues of Major League Baseball.
Got all that?
Okay.
They had their Pride Night game and festivities planned for tonight, June 18th, and to celebrate, they ordered up not new caps, but went all out on some snazzy special jerseys for the fellas to wear.
Which sounds all cool and inclusive and stuff but no one asked the players, who, once they saw the jerseys...

...were like, 'We're not wearing those, and you can't make us.'
[CUE: Pride Night team management meltdown]
Team: BUT YOU HAVE TO!
Players: Nope
Team: But it's PRETTY RAINBOWS AND PRIDE!
Players:
Team: Then we'll forfeit the game!
...Revolution president and GM Ben Shipley said his manager told him on Tuesday that less than nine players — the minimum number needed to fill out a lineup card — on the 28-man roster were willing to play in Thursday night’s uniforms.
It led to an unprecedented team meeting in which Shipley said he was unable to talk players into wearing the rainbow sleeves.
“I’m disappointed that we’re at this point and I recognize the players’ plight and their unwillingness to cross their line. I also think tolerance is not acceptance,” Shipley told NBC News on Thursday.
“I was just asking for tolerance from the team and they were unwilling to navigate that with me.”
Shipley had an outright revolt on his hands.
So team management threw an absolute hissy fit and forfeited the game, throwing the players under the bus as they did so.
AND WE HAD SUCH A NICE ALPHABET SOUP SEX PARTY PLANNED.
It is with great disappointment and that the York Revolution have issued important changes to our 11th Annual Pride Night on Thursday, June 18th. Most significantly, the scheduled game between York and Southern Maryland will not be played and Pride will still be hosted as a free admission event. Everyone’s tickets for the game on Thursday will be treated as a rainout that can be redeemed for any future game.
This decision was not reached lightly. Unfortunately, several of our players have refused to wear the scheduled Pride Night jersey and the club decided that hosting the event is more important than forcing players to wear jerseys they are not comfortable with and playing the game.
As a result, and out of respect for the Pride Community and the York community as a whole, the York Revolution has decided that the game on Thursday, June 18 will be forfeited and that Pride Night will continue on as the feature element of the evening at WellSpan Park.
We feel that this is the best way to stay consistent with our long-standing partnerships with the Rainbow Rose Center, JLS Automation and the long list of allies that have always been key partners of the York Revolution’s success in York, Pennsylvania.
To be clear; this action by the players is completely inconsistent with our vision as the Most Welcoming Place in York. As a small token of our regret for the last-minute change of plans and support for our LGBTQIA+ representing partners we are making a $10,000 donation to the Rainbow Rose Center to support and further their work in making sure the York community is as inclusive as we strive to make WellSpan Park in York, Pennsylvania.
WE HATE THEM WE HATE THEM WE HATE THEM! POOPIE HEADS!
NEW: Professional baseball team 'York Revolution' turns on their players after they were forced to forfeit after the players refused to wear LGBT jerseys for 'Pride Night.'

The Pennsylvania team threw their players under the bus for refusing to put on the gay uniforms.
"To be… pic.twitter.com/xStfEYmx88
..."To be clear, this action by the players is completely inconsistent with our vision as the Most Welcoming Place in York," the team said in a statement.
The team's forfeit comes after the MLB issued a warning after San Francisco Giants players wrote Bible verses on their gay hats.
Glad to see players are finally standing up to this radical cult.
As a baseball fan, the 'vision' thing irritates the crap out of me.
I thought winning baseball games and not cheating at it was a much 'vision' as they needed.

So the club is paying off the rainbow cultists and opening the park tonight for a free event in lieu of the game, with the baseball players in drag costumes.
Welcome, pilgrims, huh?
How much of a hold on the club does the LGB-whatever community have on their box office that they have to act in such a craven fashion towards people who don't believe in that lifestyle or the things that the add-on letters of the acronym advocate for?
...York Revolution General Manager Ben Shipley asked the community for understanding, saying the team faced difficult dynamics and complex problems without a clean solution while emphasizing that WellSpan Park’s primary function is to welcome the community.
"I would ask the community for understanding, running an organization in this way, with these difficult dynamics, having to find a solution to these complex problems, without a clean solution, is a difficult task," Shipley said. "There's no good way to get everybody everything that they want. But our primary function as WellSpan Park in York, Pennsylvania, is to welcome the community in and be the most welcoming place in York."
What's next?
Play ball for crying out loud, and have your Pride night if you want to, but don't force people for whom the entire exercise is an anathema to dance for that crowd in costumes festooned with the perverted symbols of that group, as if they endorsed it, too.
If they're on the field playing ball in a York uniform, they're doing their job.
You don't have to wear the ribbon...or the sleeves.
I remember watching Seinfeld and we all laughed when Kramer was attacked for not wanting to wear the Aids Ribbon

He was participating in the event, paid his money was was there to support, but it wasn't enough
Now its reached the point where you are penalized for not wearing… https://t.co/I6FiyGYdVn pic.twitter.com/ah8xqxZa7A
Paint rainbows on the seats or something.
Vive la révolution!
