'Entourage' Creator Goes Rogue, Supports Spencer Pratt

Doug Ellin didn't intend for his signature HBO series to double as a L.A. tourist brochure.

It just worked out that way.

Ellin's long-running "Entourage" showcased a rising movie star (Adrian Grenier) and his three loyal chums (Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrera and Kevin Connolly) running wild across Los Angeles. Their bro-tastic adventures made the City of Angels look like a dream to many over eight cheeky seasons.

And, according to Ellin, that drew more than a few residents to the city. Could you blame them?

Now, Ellin is hoping L.A. chooses wisely on Election Day and embraces a different set of policies moving forward. That, of course, means he's voting for Spencer Pratt, the reality show villain turned mayoral candidate.

Ellin posted an emotional plea for his fellow L.A. residents to vote Pratt, too, on social media.

The TV show guru shared a powerful video describing how he keeps his home and belongings safe in Mayor Karen Bass' Los Angeles. It's not easy. And it involves more cameras than his old show needed for a given episode.

Ellin shared that he has two German Shepherds, three legal guns and 15 cameras in his current L.A. abode.

"Five years ago, I didn't lock a door here," Ellin said. "You know what happened? Two animals invaded my house, and no, I'm not racist. They were wearing masks."

Ellin, a Hollywood veteran, understands how he'd be labeled by the Left for dubbing thugs in such a fashion. Thus the pre-emptive defense offered up.

"I know they were animals because they invaded my house ... and I don't care what their excuses are like a lot of you f***ing care," he said, alluding to the soft-on-crime policies embraced by the modern progressive.

"I know invaders of homes should get 20 years [in jail]," he said, and it's not just him sharing these concerns.

"Everyone in my neighbhorhood has the same problem," he said, adding that they're adding new layers of security for some peace of mind. "They're all getting broken into. It's not made up. It's not false. This city has collapsed in the last five years. There is no f***ing denying it unless you have an agenda."

He then shredded those who contend that Pratt lacks the experience to oversee a major U.S. city like L.A.

"What experience did Karen Bass have?" he asked, noting how a savvy, proven developer like Rick Caruso lost to Bass in the last mayoral election.

Then, Ellin summoned You Know Who. He said he didn't vote for President Donald Trump, but by abandoning common sense solutions voters had no choice but to pick an unlikely candidate.

"And that's where we are in L.A.," Ellin said.

"We don't wanna be forced out. I'm one of the people who made this city look great [via 'Entourage']," he said. "They hate it here now. Hate."

This isn't the only time Ellin, who isn't a Republican, criticized his industry's preferred party. He called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez an "ignorant fraud" in 2023 for a knucklehead interview in which she used the term "occupation" to describe contested land but couldn't quite back up her statement.
